New Cotton Production is Higher Than Expected in Pakistan
According to the statistics of Pakistan
Cotton Ginning Association (PCGA), as of November 1, the cumulative amount of
Pakistani new cotton market reached 1.383 million tons, an increase of 17.1%
comparing with the 1.181 million tons production in last year. New cotton
processing capacity of 1.146 million tons in 2017 and it was 966,000 tons of the
same period in last year.

Japanese Companies March to Intelligent Apparel Industry
Japanese chemical manufacturers Asahi Kasei
Industrial Co., Ltd. will march to the intelligent clothing industry at 2018
summer. They will focus on the products that can get access to human
information. Asahi Kasei plans to combine the US subsidiary's medical devices
with its own electrically conductive fiber products to develop the new products
for first aid applications and other uses.

Switzerland Revised the Toy Ordinance by Adopting EN 71 Safety of Toys
In December 1st, 2016,
Switzerland revised their Toys Ordinance (Regulation of the Federal Department
of Home Affairs on the Safety of Toys) to strengthen the requirements for toys.
The revised ordinance takes parts of EN 71. Switzerland follows EU legislation.
But Switzerland is not a member of the EU, so there are still differences for
regulations between them when Switzerland follows EU legislation.
