Swedish company Polygiene cooperates with
Italian yarn expert Sinterama to develop a permanent odor control technology
for the first fiber grade 100% environmentally friendly recycling for the
garment industry.
The two companies said that the fiber has to
be done the pre-treatment before yarn. The permanent odor recycling in this
process will bring huge benefits to customers for following better garments
quality and clothing care. Since now, this technology shows great potential and
be a great choice for working apparel and nursing garments, but it still has
the potential to develop applications in other industries.
Polygiene's permanent odor control process
is based on the silver chloride recycling which produced from the recovery of
silver from electronic waste. This permanent technology can inhibit and prevent
the smell from the growth of bacteria, fungi and other microbial.
Sinterama's Newlife is a proven recycled
polyester filament yarn, 100% using recycling PET bottles from our daily use. They
are reproduced into polymer by machine and fully spun into yarn in Italy. The
yarn can be 100% recycling in the garment manufacturing processing.
Christian von Uthmann, Polygiene CEO, said:
"We are very pleased to cooperate with Sinterama, which opened a door for
us to let us see the potential for great growth. We first apply to the care
industry, as well as the work clothes industry in the future. Our treated
fabric is able to withstand industrial-grade washing and the this fabric can achieve
shorter delivery time by pre-storage and pre-coloring. It is a special market
advantage for a wider range of users ".
