Evelyn & Bobbie, an underwear company in Oregon, was founded in 2013. Bree McKeen the
founder was engaged in the financial industry. And she had been suffering from unable
to find a comfortable bra for years. In order to solve this problem, she
finally decided to create Evelyn & Bobbie.
McKeen said, "The invention of bra in
1933 is a great thing. And now so many years have passed, there is necessary
for adding innovation in the bra design."
McKeen has developed wireless and strapless
bra which still can provide effective support like other bras. It is named as Everyday
Bustier. Through the patented 3D EB technology, Everyday Bustier can provide a
full range of support for women's chest, the make the pressure from focusing in
the shoulder to more dispersed on more parts of body.
Mckeen said: "When we wear the normal
bra, the feeling is like wearing kilograms of heavy objects hanging in a
shoelace. We use the 3D EB technology for the strapless bra to improve this
situation and reduce the burden for women body. "
Evelyn & Bobbie’s bra has a new size
standard according to the unique algorithm by McKeen. It will help customers to
find the most appropriate size for each one by using 3D technology to scan the
female body. McKeen and MIT graduate Jenna Fizel cooperate to develop this size
measuring software. This bra is made of four seamless fabrics and will be flexibly
adjusted according to the specific size of customers. There is variety of
colors for choose. It is said that the bra can bear the maximum load of about
50 pounds (about 22.7 kg).
Mckeen plans to launch more bra models in
the future, as well as three different underwear versions. Recently, she has
just promoted Stephanie Muhlenfeld as vice president of
product design for the brand, who served at Nike's sports bra design section as
a technology manager. Muhlenfeld also served at Victoria’s secret as the technology
manager.
The first batch of goods will begin selling
in December. However, interested customers can make reservations on the
Kickstarter website. The price of the Evelyn & Bobbie bra is $188. The customers
who book the product before June 16 will get a discount.
